The Milford Planning Board held a public hearing Feb. 18 to adopt revisions to its Rules and Procedures and voted to adopt the updated document dated Feb. 4, 2025.
Board members said the revisions reflected several iterations of review and wordsmithing; no substantive public testimony was offered during the hearing portion. After brief discussion, Vice Chair Janet Langdell moved to adopt the rules as revised; the motion was seconded and passed by roll call with all members present voting in the affirmative.
The board directed staff to post the adopted Rules and Procedures on the town’s planning-board web page "as soon as possible." Staff and members noted ongoing website transition issues and asked that staff verify packet links and calendar items display properly for the public; members said staff time had been consumed during the website changeover but asked that the new rules be posted quickly.
The adopted Rules and Procedures will govern the board’s operations, public hearings, agendas and submittal procedures going forward. Board members said the adopted version had been reviewed multiple times and they considered it ready for publication. The motion to adopt carried unanimously; staff will post the updated document to the planning-board page and integrate the changes into board procedures.
