The board was told the site plan was approved in May 2023 and that the applicant met conditions required for final approval but had not commenced active and substantial development within 24 months of approval; the extension request therefore seeks an additional 180 days to permit construction to begin.
Jeffrey Alleva, P.E., submitted the extension request on behalf of the property owners, and Jeff Oliva of civil consultants described scheduling needs: the fabricator is busy, a Rochester contractor will handle concrete work, and the team needs time to schedule a pre‑construction meeting. Planning Board member David Witham described the property as “a relatively isolated area at the end of this roadway,” and said the extension “is a very reasonable request in my opinion.”
A motion to approve the 180‑day extension was made by Robert Bellmore and seconded by David Witham; the motion passed by voice vote.
The extension applies only to the approved site plan and does not change the approved design or conditions.
