Weston announces students honored for '100% accountable' mindset on March 31 Wildcat News

Student hosts Noelle and Gage used the March 31 Wildcat News broadcast to present the week's "thank it forward" mindset and to list students nominated for the school's "100% accountable" mindset.

Guidance staff explained the mindset during the broadcast, saying, "The 100% accountable mindset teaches that you and we, even adults, are in control of our own story and our outcomes. It helps us understand that our success in school and life depends on the choices that we make and the actions that we take every day." Guidance staff said the mindset focuses on responsibility, problem solving and improving skills.

Gage congratulated students who won rewards in March, saying, "Congratulations to the following students who won breaks with Mrs. Cartlidge during the month of March for turning in paw slips." The broadcast listed the students named by staff for the 100% accountable mindset in three groups.

The first group: Xander Venske; Angel Mercio Santiago; Jalen Walker; Matthew Medrano; Jordan Yang; Sawyer Kremsrider; Tatum Thomas; Oliver Johanek; and Leah Thor.

The second group: Skyler Young; Darlene Vang; Dominic McDuffie; Sahari Sobolovaro Sotelo; CJ Lee; Nico Meyer; Meredith Bridal; and Amelia Zhang.

The third group: Liliana Rosenthal; Rudy Beltran; Erin Mortishevsky; Jonah Russell; Isaiah Lee; Bailey Yang; Ella Vang; and Marilyn Zhang.

Earlier in the broadcast, the hosts noted the week of March 31 through April 4 and listed the day's lunch menu as burger bar with French fries, fresh apple slices and a choice of milk. Hosts also read birthday mentions for Elaine K., Isaac T. and Y. S.

The show closed with host Noelle wishing fellow students a good week.
