The Kasson City Council on April 1 approved a minor subdivision to split Outlot B of the Creekside Grove development into north and south parcels.
Planning staff showed certificates of survey and explained the split follows a natural drainage way across the lot. Staff said they consulted the Dodge County Land Records office to confirm exhibit labeling and made minor size adjustments to exhibits A and B. Council approval included two conditions: payment in full of any assessments required by city code before recording, and completion of any necessary map revisions.
Councilmember Paul moved approval; Councilmember Brian seconded. The council voted in favor and the motion carried.
Staff said the minor subdivision will enable an east–west corridor intended to provide a secondary access route (earlier discussion referred to the future connection to a numbered street in the subdivision), and that splitting the outlot supports the developer’s plans to extend roadways when parcels change ownership.
