Plaistow selectmen approve permit-fee increase, release Carly's Way bond and pass consent agenda

Carly’s Way performance bond: Town Manager Greg Colby recited planning and highway records showing the roadway had been accepted by the town as a town road on Feb. 6, 2023, and that a performance bond of $45,200 had been posted for two years. Colby said Highway Supervisor Mr. Garlington submitted a letter stating he monitored the street during the bond period and “would support releasing the entire amount that is being held” because the street is holding up with no issues. A motion to accept the release of the performance bond, including accrued interest, was made and seconded and passed on a voice vote.
Consent agenda: The board approved the consent agenda, which consisted of the accounts payable manifest for the weeks of Jan. 6 and Jan. 13, 2025; draft minutes for Jan. 27, 2025 attributed to Louis Lachman; one elderly tax exemption application; and one veterans tax credit application. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded and passed by voice vote.
