Beverly Public Schools announced at its March 26 meeting that Director of Buildings and Grounds Robert "Bob" Scirolei has accepted a position outside the city and departed after about three and a half years.
The committee heard that John Coffey, who has served as assistant director of buildings and grounds for roughly three years, has been named interim director. "Any concerns that you may have previously pointed to Mr. Bob Scirolei, we can now point to Mr. John Coffey," a committee member said during the announcement.
Committee members thanked Scirolei for his service and welcomed Coffey to the interim role; no formal vote was required for the personnel announcement.
