District holds AI parent workshop; staff outline plans for family events and classroom tools

Sally said the event was organized by Christian Tonkinson with tech support by Jim Carey. She reported teachers from each building staffed booths showing AI tools used in classrooms, an "admin questions" booth and a parent-perspective AI tutoring station where parents could try tools. Sally said parents who attended provided positive feedback and that the district plans to pilot family nights at building level to expand access to the material.
Superintendent Jay noted the forum was "well organized and well put forward to our community," and board members who attended also praised the format.
