The Isanti City Council authorized staff to advertise for bids on the 2025 pavement management project, a mill-and-overlay program covering multiple streets. The motion, made by Councilmember Lundin and seconded by Councilmember Holmgren, passed 4-0.
Public works staff described the project as the next step in the city’s pavement-management plan and said the plan set in the meeting packet identifies the streets to be included. Staff listed the streets as Whiskey Road, Isanti Parkway, a piece of East Jewel Boulevard north of the planned roundabout, First Avenue in front of City Hall, a block of Main Street and a piece of Creekside Lane.
Staff said the city plans to advertise the project for bid, receive bids in late March, and return to the council to consider awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The council had no substantive opposition and moved the item forward.
Staff provided the project plan set in the meeting packet; the council did not adopt a contract award at the meeting and will consider bids when they are returned.
