The Isanti City Council on March 4 approved the final plat for Johnson Meadows Phase 2, clearing the final 20 lots for development after the developer met prior conditions.
City staff said the planned PUD and preliminary plat had been approved in March 2024 and that Phase 1 is complete. Carrington Development asked the council to approve the final plat for the remaining 20 lots; the engineer requested that the right-of-way for Commerce Drive in the southeast corner be platted and that the temporary cul-de-sac on Seventh Avenue be recorded as a separate document so it can be removed when the road is extended.
A motion to approve the final plat with Bolton & Menk's recommendations was made and seconded; the motion carried 5-0. Staff said the development agreement will be brought forward at a future meeting. The developer was present at the meeting but no substantive conditions were imposed beyond engineering recommendations already noted.
No appeals or objections were raised during the council discussion at the March 4 meeting.
