The council designated Alicia Nelson of First American Insurance as the city’s insurance agent for 2025 and subsequently approved a resolution declining to waive the state’s monetary limits on municipal tort liability (the motion was summarized in the meeting packet and accepted by the council). The council held a public hearing and then approved a resolution to annex three parcels into the city; the annexation was adopted as a single motion covering all three sites.
Planning and development items approved included a revised general development plan and preliminary plat for Schumann Business Park 6, with the council’s approval specifically made subject to final review and sign-off by the city engineer. The council voted to approve an updated finance officer job description and authorized advertising the position.
