On-site services were emphasized. A different county speaker described the WellWork Medical Clinic as "located right here at the government center," adding it is "staffed by 2 nurse practitioners" and offers "same day or near same day appointments." The presentation said enrolled members can use the on-site clinic free of charge. The presenters also said doctors-on-demand virtual visits and retail health clinics are covered at 100%.
Presenters additionally noted an on-site dental clinic located near the government center. The county described an employee assistance program (EAP) as a 24/7 confidential benefit available to employees and household members for "emotional well-being, financial and legal advice, parenting and childcare support, relationship guidance, workplace concerns, and more." One speaker said the EAP is available to temporary and full-time employees and their family members via an online portal and by telephone "24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
Retirement and paid time off details were also covered. The presenters said employees are "automatically enrolled in PERA, the Public Employees Retirement Association," and that Anoka County contributes to employee accounts. The county also described an optional deferred compensation account for regular employees and a flexible time-off package that includes "24 days of FTO and 12 and a half paid holidays your very first year."
