Lititz Borough Council approves series of routine resolutions, contracts and permits

Lititz Borough Council on March 25 adopted a string of routine measures, including a resolution recognizing April 2025 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month and a proclamation for Arbor Day, approved contract renewals and capital advertisements, and cleared a slate of special-event and activity permits.

The moves were carried largely by unanimous voice vote. Council took formal action on resolutions, contract renewals and bids, and several permits that organizers will need for downtown events this year.

The council adopted a resolution recognizing April 2025 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month and formally called on residents to support victims and prevention efforts. The resolution also recognized the YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center as Lancaster County’s designated crisis center. YWCA representatives had presented the borough with information about their 24-hour hotline, free counseling and medical and legal advocacy services before the vote. Council passed the resolution by voice vote.
