Town extends eSource contract after water-loss survey found 228 leaks; staff to use firm for TBOR report

Mike (staff member) said eSource located 228 leaks on the system plus 13 customer-side leaks; crews have repaired 203 of the 228 identified leaks to date. "To date, we have repaired 203 of those 228, which directly relates to losses," Mike said. He added that the town's water loss metric had improved slightly, from "right around 30 ish" to "28 ish," and staff expects a clearer before-and-after comparison once the remaining repairs are completed and April's data are available.
Because eSource conducted the survey and assembled the financial and operational data, staff recommended extending the firm's contract to have them prepare and file the annual TBOR report to the comptroller's office.
