Students say Career Academy offers college-like experience and hands-on training

Several students praised teachers and on-campus activities. Student 3 said students are greeted daily and welcomed, and Student 4 added, "Believe the best thing about the teachers is every single 1 of them have a great attitude towards it, towards all the students and towards each other." Student 1 and Student 3 both singled out an orientation activity, calling the "goose chase" a useful way to meet classmates. "My favorite activity that we've had at the CCA is definitely the goose chase," Student 1 said.
On academic pathways, Student 1 noted the value of dual enrollment: "Yes, definitely with dual enrollment, you can get so many college classes knocked out of the way and it's just a great head start to have after high school." The students did not specify how many dual-enrollment credits are available.
