Committee hears update on constituent-management evaluation; Salesforce meeting scheduled

Director Angracia told the Personnel and Administration Committee on March 20 that staff will meet with Salesforce that afternoon to discuss whether the vendor’s customer-relationship platform could serve the board’s constituent-management needs.
"We are going to be meeting with Salesforce this afternoon," Director Angracia said. She told members the city already has contracts with Salesforce in other departments and that staff will schedule additional vendor demonstrations to compare options.
Angracia said the board may be able to avoid a full request for proposals if it can amend an existing city contract or use the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) procurement vehicle the state of Missouri makes available to local governments. She credited Supply Commissioner Chris Carter with pointing out the NASPO option.
The director cautioned that the board’s full launch of the CivicClerk agenda and meeting-management platform has experienced integration challenges but remains on track for an April 15 session launch. She said constituent-management functions would likely be addressed separately, with a potential rollout in the fall or winter after CivicClerk is running.
No committee vote was required on the constituent-management evaluation during the meeting; Director Angracia said staff will report back after the Salesforce meeting and vendor demonstrations.
