The measure, placed on the agenda for action, moved with a motion and a second before commissioners took a verbal roll call. Commissioners present cast unanimous aye votes and the chair announced: “Motion passes.”
The county manager and staff said the item had been brought forward the previous day for review and that assessors and budget staff had identified operational needs and had costed the change to fit within the assessor’s existing budget.
No amendments were offered during the meeting. The board did not request additional study or direction and the resolution will be executed as approved.
The reclassification affects two positions within the assessor’s office that were described to the board as “property control analyst” roles; the county said the change was meant to address operational needs and would be funded within the office’s current appropriation.
