The Roswell City Council voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve an additional advance voting site for the November 2025 municipal general election, adding the East Roswell Library to the Roswell Library location designated by the Fulton County Elections Board. The council approved the measure after a short presentation; the cost to secure the site is $41,770 and is included in the fiscal year 2025 budget.
City Administrator Randy Knighton told the council the Fulton County Elections Board had designated the Roswell Library on the City Hall campus as an advanced voting location and that the city recommended adding the East Roswell Library to improve accessibility. Council member Christine Hall read the item and moved the motion; Council member David Johnson seconded. The vote was recorded as unanimous.
Council member Sarah Beeson said the council’s committee discussed the proposal the night before and that the additional site has broad support on council as a way to increase voting access in east Roswell. No members of the public spoke on the item during the meeting.
The approval authorizes city staff to secure the East Roswell Library as an additional advance voting site and to coordinate logistics with the Fulton County Elections Board. The city’s presentation noted the agenda and related materials are posted on the city website and that the expense is accounted for in the current fiscal year budget.
The city did not identify further operational details in the meeting; staff will finalize scheduling and public notice in coordination with Fulton County elections officials.
