District 25 says Riverton High auditorium on track; Jackson reconfiguration and sewer work scheduled

Board members asked for a short tour when work reaches the punch-list stage so trustees can see final elements before public opening.
McPherson said punch lists should start in April and May and that landscaping is the main outstanding exterior work, “and, of course, that's gonna depend on what spring brings for us.” He outlined plans to move some students as part of a broader reconfiguration: “We'll be moving Jackson over into Rendezvous and then some, fifth grade classes out to Willow Creek in Aspen,” and noted temporary changes inside Jackson to accommodate younger grade levels.
On Jackson infrastructure, McPherson said a sewer project should start in early spring or summer so work can finish before Frontier moves into the building during the subsequent Christmas break. He also reported a reroof for the district central office planned to start in late summer or early fall.
Board members requested a short site visit when the auditorium is near completion. McPherson said the contractor is beginning upper-deck seating work and trustees will be invited for an early look: “We'll get you guys in there before it's fully open, so you can take a look around.”
The trustees had no formal vote on the buildings update; it was presented during the open meeting as an informational report.
