Under the clarified plan, fixtures testing above 15 parts per billion (ppb) remain turned off (mitigation already completed), and fixtures testing between 5 ppb and 15 ppb are marked with signage and subject to an immediate 30‑second flush protocol as a temporary measure. Where replacement is the permanent remediation, staff said the district will replace those fixtures and schedule post‑remediation sampling in coordination with the Department of Health, with sampling slated after fixture replacement (staff identified December as a post‑remediation testing window in the discussion but noted the schedule depends on replacement timing).
Board members sought and received confirmation that immediate mitigations had already been implemented and that revised plan language would be standardized across school sites before posting. Assistant Director (facilities) confirmed the district would update and publish consistent per‑site action plans after the board approved the clarifications.
The lead‑action plan language was adopted as a consent‑agenda item; staff said the DOH remains the technical reviewer and will perform or oversee confirmatory sampling after permanent remediation occurs.
