Three nominees for appointments to the Salt Lake City Arts Council addressed councilors during the March 25 work session and the council’s chair said the names would be placed on the consent agenda for the 7 p.m. formal meeting.
Ignacio Rosenberg described a 21‑year U.S. career in entertainment and lighting design and said he wants to bring large‑scale event and design experience to the arts council. He said, “I was born and raised in Argentina, and then I moved to the US 21 Years ago,” and described experience in touring and museum lighting.
Eugenie (Ginny) Jaffe summarized a long local arts career including marketing and communications work for local dance companies, work on the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics cultural programs, and current roles at community radio station KRCL. She said her experience in arts marketing and local cultural programming would inform her service.
Ryan Kanter, joining the meeting virtually, said he moved to Salt Lake City for medical training and has been active in community‑building and arts events such as Twilight and Buskerfest; he told councilors he seeks to combine community service and arts programming.
Council staff said the three applications would be placed on the consent agenda for the evening meeting; no formal vote was recorded in the work session.
