Staff said LeMay’s franchise agreement provides free dumpsters to the city based on population; the city expects to receive 12 dumpsters and that LeMay will replace three during the event. Staff clarified eligibility and gate checks: attendees from outside the city will be required to show proof of address in ZIP code 98597 (driver’s license or mail) at the gate; senior pickup service remains available for seniors inside city limits who cannot transport large items.

The committee encouraged residents to mark May 17 on their calendars for bulky‑item disposal and warned that hazardous waste and regular daily garbage are not accepted.
