Daviess County commissioners voted to allow staff to submit the county’s annual Department of Corrections grant that covers part of the county community corrections program.
Laura Petty, representing Community Corrections, told commissioners the DOC grant funds about 32% of the program and that the advisory board had already approved the application. “This is my annual grant submission ... I just have to ask permission to submit that,” Petty said. She said the program has been operating for 43 years and that the grant requires no local match.
