Council delays Microsoft enterprise agreement approval for staff follow-up

The staff report noted the amount was included in the 2025–26 budget and that past estimates anticipated a roughly 10 percent increase.
Councilor Veil asked whether the contract limited devices or was a per-user license; staff said licensing is based on user accounts and some server licenses are per server. Council Member Allison asked whether SQL Server supported web-hosted services or recreation program databases; staff said staff would follow up with detailed answers when IT staff Beau or his backup were available.
Because the presenting technician was ill, councilors agreed to table the item for a future meeting so that technical staff could respond to questions. No appropriation or contract award was made at the March 25 meeting.
