For example, Peter Collins (FSU) said he aims to help the university reach top national research designations; Mark Filburn (UCF) highlighted long-term involvement with law and university boards and said he would support engineering and growth at his campus; Paul Applegarth (FGCU) described international finance and development experience and offered to help with measurable objectives and transparency; and John Boyle (UNF) described a Jacksonville business and workforce focus tied to student hiring and internships.
A roll call followed the presentations; committee staff recorded the vote and the chair said results would be forwarded to the Ethics and Elections Committee for the formal confirmation process.
