The committee record indicates the change was requested by the bill sponsor and drafted with input from the State Bar Association as “a clarification of the bill's intent.”
After the amendment was adopted without objection, Vice Chair Gavarone moved that Senate Bill 101 be favorably reported to the Committee on Rules and Reference. The clerk took a roll call. Committee members recorded “Yes” votes for Chair Cheryl O'Brien; Vice Chair Gavarone; Ranking Member Smith; Senator Scalar; Senator Landis; Senator Wilkin; and Senator Hicks Hudson.
