The Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education approved the evenings consent resolution agenda and separately approved instructions for its Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) delegate to represent district positions on several WASB resolutions. Both matters passed by roll call votes at the Dec. 18 meeting.
On the consent agenda, the board voted to adopt items that had been provided in advance to trustees and asked that the package be acted on with a single vote. The motion was moved and seconded and passed by roll call; the board president announced the resolution carries.
Separately, the board considered a motion directing the districts WASB delegate (Mrs. Carlin) how to vote on resolutions that will be considered at the WASB delegate assembly in January. Trustee Mike Herzog moved the motion and it was seconded; the board discussed highlights and objections to several proposed WASB positions before voting. The motion passed by roll call, and the board confirmed its delegate instructions.
Both votes were procedural approvals and did not change the districts staffing, capital or referendum decisions discussed elsewhere on the agenda.
