Board approves moving Lauderdale Manor entrance funds to Chateau Park after master-plan discrepancy

Torres described two budgets presented in the packet: a $135,000 scope that would cover just a playground installation (based on the master-plan north parcel), and a larger package intended for the south parcel and Chateau Park. He said the recommended option would move roughly $235,000 to Chateau Park and add a roughly $100,000 site cost, for a combined project cost of about $335,000 to cover playground installation, pavilion and site work at Chateau Park.
After board members discussed space constraints on the northern parcel and whether the city could install any amenities there, a motion to remove the Lauderdale Manor entrance from the bond and transfer its full funding to Chateau Park was made and seconded. The board voted by roll call; all members present voted yes and the motion carried.
Ending: Staff will implement the approved reallocation and proceed with design and procurement for the Chateau Park playground and pavilion under the revised funding.
