The Ohio Senate Health Committee on an audible roll call voted to favorably report three governor appointments to the Rules and Reference Committee.
Vice Chair Johnson moved that the committee “favorably report the governor's appointments of Misty Crosby, Ohio Advisory Council on Aging; Stephanie Coonsie, Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board; and Karen Small Warpa, Ohio Advisory Council for the Aging.” The motion was adopted by an affirmative roll call and the committee directed that the majority report be transmitted to Rules and Reference.
The roll call recorded affirmative votes from Chairman Huffman, Vice Chair Johnson, Ranking Member Liston, Senator Ingram, Senator Manchester, Senator Rochner and one additional senator whose name was not specified on the record. There were no recorded nay or abstentions in the committee's roll call. Having received a favorable report, the nominations will advance to the Rules and Reference Committee for further consideration.
No substantive debate on the nominees was recorded in committee minutes. The move to report nominations favorably follows routine committee practice to advance executive appointments to the next step in the legislative process.
