Committee approves updated civil rights compliance plan for 2022'2025

The Rules and Strategic Planning Standing Committee approved an updated Civil Rights Compliance Plan that will cover 2022'2025 and be forwarded to the county board.
Staff reported the county reviews its civil rights plan every three years and that the county's current publicly posted plan covers 2018'2021. The update incorporated recommendations from staff and outside assistance; staff said work included developing forms and guidance so departments can keep service-demographic records up to date rather than attempting to retroactively assemble data when the plan is revised.
Peter Langrick and other staff credited work by Cheryl and consultant Matt Hoener in preparing the update and improving demographic tracking. The committee voted to approve the updated plan; Supervisor Frank moved the motion and Supervisor Cosgrove seconded it.
The committee instructed staff to post the updated plan and associated cover resolution so the plan's coverage period is clearly visible on the county website.
