Votes at a glance: Richland County rules and strategic planning committee moves branding, organizational chart and committee changes to county board

The Rules and Strategic Planning Standing Committee of Richland County on Thursday, May 5, voted unanimously to forward a package of items to the full county board, including approval of a base county logo, adoption of an updated organizational chart for the county’s strategic plan and several body-structure document amendments.

- County Board Rule 10 amendments (clarify difference between tabling and postponing and mark postponements as debatable): Motion to amend Rule 10 passed and will be presented to the County Board. Motion by Brewer; second by Glassburner.

- County board training and mentor program (authorize committee to notify county supervisors of WCA training on May 16 and encourage participation; county to cover registration fees): Motion to send countywide communication and to assist with registrations passed. Motion by Glassburner; second by Cosgrove.

- Motion to communicate with standing-committee chairs to solicit possible Wisconsin Counties Association resolutions and to encourage committee consideration in June: Motion passed. Motion by Brewer; second by Glassburner.

Other routine motions (agenda approval, approval of two sets of minutes, adjournment) were approved without recorded opposition.
