Bernalillo County defers vote on Bridal Sol sector plan amendment to May 13

The Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 March 25 to defer consideration of an amendment to the Bridal Sol Sector Development Plan to May 13, 2025, after the applicant said it needed more time to coordinate with the water authority.
The county’s planning director, Director Hann, told the commission, “The department is in receipt of a request for deferral from the applicant. They are continuing to work with the water authority. The department is supportive of this.” The action was taken during a special zoning meeting called by Chair Levas.
The amendment is filed as case SPR20024002. Chair Levas moved to defer consideration of the amendment to May 13; Commissioner Barbara Baca seconded the motion. The motion passed by a 5-0 vote. The planning department said the May 13 date had been agreed upon by the county and the applicant.
Before the deferral vote the clerk administered the oath to those who planned to testify. The commission also approved minutes from its Feb. 11 zoning meeting by a separate 5-0 vote earlier in the session.
The commission noted its next regular zoning meeting is scheduled for April 8 at 3 p.m. in the Bernalillo County Commission Chambers. The deferred item will return to the commission on the agreed May 13 date for further consideration.
