Board honors long-serving IT worker Diana Arneson and Rock Haven worker Jaren Horner

The board thanked Diana Arneson for more than 36 years of service in Rock County’s Information Technology Department. The resolution recorded her start date as Oct. 3, 1988, described her progression through positions including programmer analyst and information security program manager, and thanked her for contributions to county IT and institutional knowledge. Supervisor Mawhinney read the resolution and colleagues praised Arneson’s long tenure and assistance to staff across departments. Arneson offered brief remarks, thanking the county and saying she would carry many good memories.
The board also recognized Jaren (Jason) Horner for 13 years of service at Rock Haven Skilled Nursing Home, noting his roles in food service and environmental services since May 2012 and praising his work ethic and positive attitude. The resolution was moved by Supervisor Bridal and seconded by Supervisor Woodman. Horner told the board he appreciated the opportunity to change roles at Rock Haven to balance work, school and parenting responsibilities and said he was returning to school for automation work.
Both recognitions were approved on the consent agenda by voice vote; no oppositions were recorded.
The recognitions highlight long-term county staff and front-line workers at county facilities; no policy or budget actions accompanied the resolutions.
