Health and Human Services staff told the committee that the county served almost 900 more meals in the latest October–September period compared with the prior year and that the program has received an extra $5,975 in one‑time funds to help offset costs. Staff said the caterer increased its per‑meal charge only slightly (about $0.10 per meal) and that overall program revenues and internal transfers should keep the program within budget despite the contract change.
Committee members approved the contract amendment and directed staff to include contract documentation with the resolution sent to the full county board.
