Oklahoma County commissioners open opioid-abatement bids, approve easement, ARPA subgrant and county cost plan

Oklahoma County commissioners on a meeting posted March 25, 2025, opened nine proposals for an opioid-abatement grant and approved several routine items including an easement payment for a bridge project, receipt of a juvenile cost-allocation plan and a $30,000 ARPA subrecipient agreement to the Historical Society of Edmond.
The action to open and tabulate bids was announced by Ashley McMichael, who said, "This is for, G25002 Oklahoma County Opioid abatement grant. We received 9 proposals." McMichael listed the proposers as Oklahoma Jail and Prison Ministries; Comprehensive Treatment Center of Oklahoma City; Hope is Alive; Stand in the Gap Inc.; Oklahoma County diversion hub; CEC Analytics; The Demand Project; the Board of Regents for the University of Oklahoma; and Valley Hope.
Why it matters: the county is handling distribution of opioid-abatement funds through the G25002 solicitation. County staff moved to tabulate the proposals and return them for further review, a procedural step that allows staff to score proposals and bring recommendations to the commission.

- Received an abstractor's bond from First American Title as a routine receipt item.
The meeting also included recognition of employees of the month and a presentation describing the Oklahoma County Hazard Mitigation Plan. A county presenter said the plan "was subsequently approved on 02/11/2025" by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and FEMA; the presenter said the plan keeps the county eligible for hazard-mitigation grants.
The commission recessed for an executive session and later returned to open session before adjourning. At a separate Public Buildings Administration meeting held the same day, members approved minutes and claims and appointed Kayla Beard.
