Commissioners discussed drafting an endorsement letter and said the next step would be to invite the property owner to pursue a formal local‑designation nomination, which requires a public hearing if undertaken.
The commission directed staff to prepare and send a letter of support and to follow up with property owners about a possible nomination process; no formal vote beyond that administrative direction was recorded.
