The Historic Landmark Preservation Commission agreed on Feb. 6 to send a letter of support for the Lantree House nomination (111 Down the Street) and to encourage the property owners to pursue local designation.
Staff told the commission the 1950s house is “mostly intact” and recommended outreach to the owner on local designation. Commissioners discussed drafting an endorsement letter and said the next step would be to invite the property owner to pursue a formal local‑designation nomination, which requires a public hearing if undertaken.
The commission directed staff to prepare and send a letter of support and to follow up with property owners about a possible nomination process; no formal vote beyond that administrative direction was recorded.
