The mayor said Nicole Neeson had attended a Public Art Commission meeting and that the mayor interviewed multiple applicants before choosing Neeson.
The nomination was moved and seconded and passed unanimously on voice vote.
Neeson was present at the meeting and the board congratulated her following the vote.
