The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority on Feb. 19 adopted the final decision in docket 240801 to publish a centralized annual report containing calendar-year 2024 deployment and performance data for the states clean and renewable energy programs.
Authority staff said the report consolidates the most up-to-date data available for a range of programs and market segments, and it provides an administrative record for reporting on deployment of clean and renewable energy in Connecticut. Programs and data categories called out in staffs presentation include residential rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, nonresidential clean energy systems, the Shared Clean Energy Facility Program, the Energy Storage Solutions Program, the Electric Vehicle Charging Program, public-policy contracts and power-purchase agreements awarded through the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection procurements, the Conservation and Load Management Plan, voluntary renewable offers, compliance with Connecticuts Renewable Portfolio Standards, and employment in the clean energy industry.
The Authority also approved changes to annual data-filing requirements intended to keep the compliance filings relevant and useful for future editions of the report. Authority staff recommended adoption of the decision; the panel moved, seconded and adopted the decision by roll call.
What this means: the annual report is now the Authoritys centralized source for 2024 program deployment metrics and will guide future compliance filings and public reporting.
