Board member says union obtained and leaked employee insurance records; district investigation led to termination

Board member JT Bedirce alleged at the March 24 Valley View CUSD 365U school board meeting that a spreadsheet containing protected employee insurance information was exported from the district’s human-resources system and transmitted to union officials, prompting a district investigation and a termination.

Bedirce, identified himself as a board member during his remarks, said the spreadsheet contained records for 407 employees and their spouses and that the district’s investigation concluded the file had been printed from a former district employee’s workstation and subsequently emailed. “The investigation found that the 06/10/2024 document was printed to the same former employee’s default printer in her work area,” Bedirce said. He said the district later terminated that employee for cause.
