What the board said
Chair Deborah A. Conroy presided over the meeting and called votes throughout. Vice Chair Mike Childress moved multiple appointment and contract items; other committee chairs and members (including Member Garcia, Member Evans and Member Ozog) presented committee recommendations and moved fiscal and procurement items from their respective committees.
Context and next steps
Most items were routine appointments or procurement approvals reported by committee and advanced with little debate. Where applicable, contract periods and not-to-exceed amounts were recorded in the agenda packet. Several items are contract renewals or multi-year agreements that will be implemented by county departments (facilities management, public works, information technology, clerk of the circuit court and the Division of Transportation).
