County counsel and the clerk administered oath for potential witnesses in case the board wished to take sworn testimony limited to the continuance question.
Members of the public — including neighborhood residents and a representative appearing on Zoom for the applicant (Nina Star LLC) — spoke in favor of the continuance to allow more community notice and to ensure the district supervisor could participate. The applicant’s representative stated that, while prepared for today’s hearing, the applicant had no objection to a short continuance.
The board moved and seconded a continuance of the appeal hearing to April 1 at 10:00 a.m. The motion passed on a voice vote; the clerk will place the item on the April 1 agenda for full hearing.
