Subcommittee approves 25% tuition discount for children of full‑time school support staff

Members called no questions on the amendment or the bill. The clerk recorded a 5‑0 vote to send House Bill 10 56, with amendment 6104, to the full House Education Administration Committee.
The proposal would expand an existing tuition assistance idea used for full‑time educators to include support staff; the committee did not discuss implementation details such as eligibility verification, participating campuses or the fiscal impact in the hearing record.
