Commission declares school and county IT equipment surplus, approves routine administrative actions

Robertson County commissioners on March 24 declared multiple items of technology equipment surplus at the request of the Board of Education technology department and the county IT department, and they approved several routine administrative actions.
Commissioner Martin presented Resolution 032425020 on behalf of the Board of Education to declare laptops and other technology items surplus. The school board approved the items for surplus at its March 10 meeting, Martin said. The commission approved the resolution (motion and second on the record) and the minutes show the measure passed by voice vote; the clerk recorded the outcome as yes with no opposing votes.
Commissioner Mark (IT/business matters) presented Resolution 032425021 declaring additional county IT equipment surplus and authorizing sale or destruction under Tennessee Code Annotated procedures; Commissioner Stroud seconded that resolution and the minutes record the outcome in the roll-call phrasing used by the clerk.
The commission also approved minutes from the prior meeting and took a motion to file routine departmental reports (highway, animal control, solid waste, planning, EMS, EMA and fire). Those administrative items were approved by voice vote. The commission moved and approved to appoint a slate of individuals as county notaries; the clerk recorded an affirmative voice vote.
