The Laramie Planning Commission voted to approve Resolution 25-02 to use a portion of its discretionary $3,000 allotment to fund attendance at an Albany County Historic Preservation Board training on May 9. The resolution formalizes use of up to $35 per attendee to cover the registration and lunch cost.
"By approval of this resolution, you're acknowledging as the planning commission that you'll spend some of those funds to help send one, maybe other planning commissioners to that conference," Derek, planning staff, said while presenting the resolution. Derek said staff had received an email from a commissioner expressing interest in attending and that others were welcome.
A motion to adopt Resolution 25-02 was moved and seconded and the commission approved the item by voice vote; the meeting record shows the chair called for ayes and nays and the resolution was approved.
Why it matters: The resolution authorizes use of existing discretionary funds for commissioner training on historic preservation; attendance is optional and the event includes a $35 registration and lunch fee.
