The Golf Manor Village Finance Committee recommended using $2,000 of ARPA funds to support the recreation department’s event advertising and outreach.
Committee members said the money would be used for event promotion with typical municipal reimbursement controls: prior approval and receipt-based reimbursement. Committee members agreed the village’s reserve should be preserved for emergencies and that ARPA funds were a suitable source for community programming.
Finance staff reported roughly $168,000 remained in ARPA funds. The committee approved forwarding the request so village staff can process the transfer and administration for the recreation fund.
Why it matters: Committee members said the expenditure aims to increase resident participation in village programs and was consistent with ARPA’s allowable uses for community engagement and recovery.
