On the landscaping update, staff summarized an assessment from North Branch Nursery that recommended installing Norway spruce to replace several failing trees and to infill the mound. Commissioners said the email recommendation and the submitted drawing did not match: the email described replacing four dead trees and adding an additional row of trees, but the drawing showed 11 trees spaced evenly and did not clearly depict existing trees or a second row.
The commission directed staff to request a revised plan that shows the existing trees, the trees to be removed, and the proposed locations for the additional plantings so commissioners can confirm spacing and survivability. Staff said they will coordinate offline with the nursery and return with a clarified drawing and count for commission review.
