Committee approves one-vehicle livery license for Luis D'lima Gomes

The Public Services Committee approved a livery (taxi) license for Luis D'lima Gomes, of Skyline Limo Service, to operate one vehicle from 2312 Mayflower Circle.
Chair (Public Services Committee) introduced the item as order number 25-109377 and invited the applicant, Luis D'lima Gomes, to speak. Police Chief David Georgi provided a written communication to the committee saying, “I have received the CORI report from Mr. Gomes and I have no reservations with his application for a taxi or livery license.”
Gomes told the committee he would use a Tesla Model Y as his vehicle and said he had discussed the business with his apartment management, which did not object as long as the car remained registered under his lease and charged in his private garage. Gomes described prior experience operating a livery service before the COVID-19 pandemic and said he currently serves private clients including airport runs and several business contracts.
Councilor Irish, identified as vice chair of the committee, asked about vehicle size and the lease arrangements; no further objections were raised. A motion to approve the order was made, seconded, and approved by vote, recorded as 3–0 in favor. The committee adjourned immediately after business concluded.
The decision allows Gomes to operate one licensed vehicle from the specified address; any changes to vehicle count or business location would require further review and applicable permitting.
