Committee recommends Simone Holyfield for Historical Commission seat

The committee voted unanimously to recommend Simone Holyfield’s appointment to the Everett Historical Commission for a three-year term ending Feb. 27, 2028; the full City Council will consider the confirmation vote.
The Committee on Legislative Affairs and Elections on March 24 voted to recommend Simone Holyfield for appointment to the Everett Historical Commission for a three-year term expiring Feb. 27, 2028.
Council President Stephanie Myers presented the nomination and said Holyfield’s resume was included in the meeting packet. Holyfield attended the meeting. A motion for favorable action was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Committee members offered no objections; the committee’s recommendation will be forwarded to the full City Council for final confirmation at the council meeting later the same evening.
The committee recorded the favorable recommendation without amendment.
