Manchester policy committee approves two bus driver job descriptions with student-interaction amendment

The Manchester School District Policy Committee on March 19 approved two revised transportation job descriptions designed to expand hiring options in the district’s transportation department.

Assistant Superintendent Nicole Doherty presented the changes, saying, “as we continue to grow our transportation department, there is a need to modify the job description to include a driver, operator 1.” The committee voted to approve a School Bus Operator 1 (CDL) description and a Bus Driver Operator 2 (non-CDL) description, both approved as amended to add expectations about interaction with students.
