Village of Jackson committee recommends approval of multiple public-works pay requests, bids and two budget resolutions

The Village of Jackson Budget and Finance Committee on March 11 recommended approval of a series of pay requests, construction bids and financing actions tied to ongoing wastewater, street and community-center projects and approved two resolutions advancing to the Village Board.

The committee voted, by voice, to recommend approval of contractor pay requests for the wastewater treatment plant tertiary filters and disinfection project (Pay Request No. 11 for J.H. Hassinger, $293,075; Pay Request No. 12 for J.H. Hassinger, $561,230.55) and a Clean Water Fund loan draw request (Request No. 9, $861,666.04) for the 2024 wastewater treatment plant project. It also recommended reducing a letter of credit for Laurel Springs, No. 4 for Belinski Homes, in the amount of $103,512 and approving a professional services agreement with Town and Country Engineering for aeration basins and a service building design ($255,000).

The committee approved a recommendation to purchase a sewer utility service truck not to exceed $118,275 and recommended awarding the low bid for the 2025 final lift of asphalt (Final Lift of Asphalt Project, low bid $174,334 to Start Pavement Corp.).
