Mike Halva compiled a multi-page job description for the role; committee members said staff would circulate that description to the mailing list. Members described the coordinator as a city employee who would work with departmental champions to make the committee’s volunteer work operationally effective. Committee members said they would continue to press the mayor’s office and the chief of staff for more information about budget timing and placement of the role in the city’s organizational chart.
There was no formal vote recorded; committee members asked staff to pursue a meeting with the mayor’s chief of staff and to continue referencing the staffing request in council communications.
